SUMMARY:7 Wonders Casual Tournament at Gnome Games Appleton North!
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gnome Games Appleton North for a 7 Wonders tournament!\nThis will be the first of many casual board game tournaments to come! Build your city and erect an architectural wonder which will transcend future times! \nFriday\, June 12th\n5:30pm\n$5.00 entry or free with the purchase of 7 Wonders \nPlayers will participate in a Swiss style tournament to determine a winner. All players will receive unique new promos for participating. A special diploma will be presented to the winner to commemorate their accomplishment! \nRules\n\nFor each game\, Wonders are distributed to players randomly. Each player may choose to play on the Day side or Night side of the Wonder they receive.\nEach game has a time limit of 45 minutes. At the end of this time\, the game immediately ends and points are counted.\nPlayers manage their own table and the preparation of their game\, as well as final scoring. Players are responsible for checking setup (shuffling cards\, number of coins received\, etc). There is no recourse if a game begins with an invalid setup.\nAt the end of the game\, all players at the table complete and verify the results sheet. The winner submits it to the organizers.\nAt any time\, participants may ask a judge for a rules clarification\nEach player may have a rules summary or documents that they think will be helpful during the game. They can also take notes. Their opponents cannot look at these notes or documents. The size of these notes and documents can be no larger than an A4/US Letter sheet.\nJudges have the final say when resolving rule misunderstandings\, conflicts\, cheating accusations\, unsportsmanlike conduct\, or any other dispute related to the tournament.\n\nScoring\nThe number of points each player earns depends on the size of the table. Join us every Thursday to experience a casual level tournament that introduces players to the basics of tournament structure. This event is intended to let players participate in a tournament and learn the basics of match structure\, battle rules\, and overall tournament flow. Our rules are based on the rules from https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade-X-Rules but streamlined to make it easier to understand for first time players.  \nEntry: Free!\nThursdays at 5pm\n3 v 3 Tournament\, 3 Round tournament\nArena: Green BeybladeX Beystadium\nPlayers bring a deck of 3 Beys (must be BeybladeX)\n \nMatch Type: \nEarn 4 points to win a set. Win two 4-point sets to win the match. \nMatch Structure: \n\nEach blader orders their Beys from left to right as the 1st Bey\, 2nd Bey\, and 3rd Bey\nFor the first battle\, each blader uses their 1st Bey. For each battle afterwards\, bladers must use the next Bey in their deck order.\nAfter battling with the 3rd Bey\, both bladers may change the order of their deck in secret. Then\, each blader uses their 1st Bey for the next battle\n\nBattle: \n\nBoth bladers present the Beys they will use in the battle to each other by showing the top and bottom of the Bey so that all parts are clearly visible\nAttach your Bey to your launcher and hold it within launch range\n\ndirectly above or within your half of the arena\nwith the Bit of the Bey no higher than 2 inches above the stadiums highest point\nwith the Bey not tilted more than 70° in any direction\n\n\nBladers must launch in a way that doesn’t interfere with their opponent. Channel the ultimate power of the Mystical Archive! \nEntry: $25\nTuesday\, May 26th at 5pm \nMagic Presents: Open the Archive invites you to a pick-2 of draft Secrets of Strixhaven… with a twist! Mystical Archive cards can be played in any deck\, regardless of color\, opening new strategies and letting you fully enjoy every Mystical Archive card they draft! \n \nHow to draft: \nEach player will start with three booster packs. In Pick-Two Draft\, players always select two cards from each booster pack and then pass that booster pack to the next player. For the first booster pack\, players pass the cards to their left. Once all players have selected all the cards from the first pack\, they’ll open a second pack\, continue selecting two cards at a time\, and pass the pack to their right. After all those cards are drafted\, players do the same with the third pack\, passing to the left again. At the end\, each player will have about 42 cards\, which they can use to build a 40-card deck\, adding in any basic lands they need. \nPlayers should play one-on-one games after the draft. In a four player Pick-Two Draft\, players should play two rounds\, with the winning players from the first round pairing up\, and the other two players also pairing up. \nSpecial drafting rule: With each player’s first pick from each pack\, they also take the Mystical Archive card from that pack. \nPlayers who finish the event with a winning record (having more wins than losses) receive a blind-pack challenge coin featuring one of five Mystical Archive art designs. Collecting the coins gives players an incentive to return and play again week after week! \nReceive a Ral Zarek avatar in MTG Arena by participating in our Open the Archive event!
