DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our May Pokémon League Challenge!\nIt’s the time of the month where we do our competitive level Pokémon TCG League Challenge! On May 9th at 12 PM\, we’re taking off in a 3 round Swiss style tournament! Each match won awards you with Prize Packs\, so the better you do\, the more Championship Points you get\, the more likely you are to get an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships. Additionally each round\, a Prize Pack goes out to a random player! \nEach round is 30 minutes\, best of one. Entry for Juniors and Seniors is $5\, and entry for Masters is $10. Players must have a Pokémon ID to enter into the tournament. Don’t have one? We can help you sign up! We have sheets available in-store\, and the rest of the registration process can be done at home. \nWhat is a Pokémon League Challenge?\nPokémon League Challenges are competitive level tournaments at the Local Store level. These events are entry-level competitions\, great for competitors of all experience levels! League Challenges specifically grant Championship Points toward earning an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships. League Challenge events are typically held once per month at select Pokémon League locations. These events use the Standard format\, and require decks to be Tournament legal. \nAt higher levels are Pokémon League Cups. Typically held quarterly\, League Cup event competitors can expect a step up\, with tougher competitors vying for greater rewards. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for a Pokémon TCG League Cup!\nOn Saturday\, May 16th at 11 AM\, compete in one of our League Cups! Through attendance-based rounds\, find out who has the best deck and who plays it the best! Players are paired based on their age division\, but are grouped together if there are not enough players in any one age division. The winner in each age division receives an exclusive Champion playmat! \nRounds are 30 minutes\, best of one. Each round won awards players with a Prize Pack! Entry for each age division is: \nJuniors: $5 \nSeniors: $10 \nMasters: $15 \nWhat do I need to participate?\nPlayers must have a Pokémon Trainer Club ID to register for the event\, and a deck list to participate. We provide sheets for people to fill out. Please show up a bit early to allow time to fill them out\, or come in with a complete form. Cards must be part of the Pokémon Standard Format. \nWhat are Pokémon League Challenges and Cups?\nA League Challenge is a small entry-level event occurring monthly by eligible Play! Pokémon Stores. In Pokémon League Challenge tournaments\, competitors can earn Championship Points (CP) and work toward earning an invitation to the World Championships! These events are designed to be a competitor’s first experience of formal tournament competition before moving up to League Cups\, Regional Championships\, and beyond. \nFor information on what is Standard Format\, check here. Open a Build & Battle kit\, upgrade the deck inside\, and participate in a 3 round Swiss style tournament! These kits contain one of four decks. Test your luck and get Crobat\, Goodra\, Delphox\, or Ampharos and dominate the competition! Each kit comes with four packs to upgrade your deck. Each round is 30 minutes\, best of 1. Players get 3 packs at the end of the tournament just for participating! \nOur events are: \nSaturday May 9th at 2 PM \nTuesday May 12th at 5:30 PM \nThursday May 14th at 5:30 PM \nSunday May 17th at 2 PM \nEach deck is set up for instant play and contains one of four unique foil promo cards based on the deck you get!
