We’re hosting Saturday tournaments each week at 12:00pm for this new format\, with $5+tax entry. Like our Advanced Format tournaments it is Win-A-Match\, Win-A-Pack\, with OTS packs being up for grabs! \nBut what is Genesys?\nA new format of play and deck building that allows for more potential cards to be used! \nThe Genesys rules are simple:  \n\n\n\nNo Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are allowed. All other cards are allowed. The original field layout is used\, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones. \nThe standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list is not used. All those cards can be used\, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. Usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies. \nDeck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck\, Extra Deck\, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap for that event. \n The standard point cap is 100\, but events can be run with any point cap\, or even a zero-point cap! Official Tournament Stores can set their own caps for their tournaments.\n\n\n\n\nGnome Games is using the standard point cap of 100 for these tournaments. DESCRIPTION:Join the Gnomes on Saturdays at 12:30pm for a Riftbound Nexus Tournament!\n3 rounds of play\, with Win-A-Match\, Win-A-Pack prizing! \nEach match will be best 2 of 3\, 60 minute round. \nThis is a casual Local Constructed tournament with Swiss rounds! \nNexus Night promo packs will be awarded based on availability! \nHere are some pertinent tournament rules to follow!\nYou may have a sideboard\, following official rules: \n\n601.1.c.1. A player’s sideboard can include 8 or fewer cards.\n403.3. Limits on copies of named cards as defined by competition format apply to the combination of Main Deck and sideboard.\n403.4. Players may use sideboard cards to modify their deck in between games of a match. Sideboard cards must be exchanged 1 for 1 with Main Deck cards.\n\n403.4.a. During that time\, a player may change their Chosen Champion to one from their sideboard or Main Deck that meets the deckbuilding rules of the competition format.\n403.4.b. In constructed formats\, a player may not change their Runes\, Legend\, or Battlefields at any point after deck registration.\n403.4.c. After the sideboarding process\, a player’s Main Deck must meet deck size requirements dictated by the competition format.\n\n\n403.5. Our own Dungeon Master (DM) will guide you through a mini session of daring adventure and fun role-playing for a night to remember! \nWhat do I need to bring?\nA full set of dice is required to play. To be more specific\, a full set of dice includes a d4 (4-sided die)\, d6 (6-sided die)\, d8 (8-sided die)\, d10 (10-sided die)\, percentile d10 (00-90)\, d12 (12-sided die)\, and d20 (20-sided die). We provide pre-made character sheets! Entry is $10. \nWhat is Dungeons & Dragons?\nDungeons & Dragons is a classic tabletop role-playing game that has been around since 1974! Throughout the years it has developed and grown into a beloved franchise of not just rulebooks\, but novels\, video games\, and even popular movies! In Dungeons & Dragons\, players will take on the role of their very own character and act out all of their movements and conversations themselves. Often times these actions will lead into checks the player has to make\, where they will roll dice and add some character statistics together to see how well they do! Both success and failure come together to make these games happen\, so be ready for anything! \nAn important part to playing Dungeons & Dragons is having a story teller\, lovingly labeled as the Dungeon Master (DM)! The DM will run the campaign for players and dictate how the story flows as the characters progress. They can use preconstructed campaigns referred to as modules\, or craft their very own stories from scratch! Either way\, the DM usually has a lot of planning to do to make things flow well. The Commander Party for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gives you a chance to find out! \nMonday\, April 6th at 6pm we invite players to play together with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Commander Party set of rules! \nEventcode: GXMRMY7 \nEach player who joins in will get a promo Courier of Comestibles! (While supplies last.) \nSETUP: Before the game begins\, shuffle the Pizza cards together\, Mystery Pizza side face up\, to create a Mystery Pizza deck. \nGAMEPLAY: If a Mystery Pizza card would be put anywhere other than the battlefield\, put it on the bottom of the Mystery Pizza deck. At the beginning of your end step\, if you don’t control a Mystery Pizza\, put the top card of the Mystery Pizza deck onto the battlefield under your control. It’s a Food Equipment artifact with these abilities: Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player\, you may flip this card. If you do\, resolve its effects\, then put it on the bottom of the Mystery Pizza deck. \nFor more information on the Commander Format visit https://magic.wizards.com/en/formats/commander  \nCommander Rules\nPlay Rules/Modifiers\n\nThis format is for four players per game and deck sizes are 99 cards + 1 commander card. The game duration for this format should be about 20 minutes per player.The Commander format is all about picking your hero and building a deck around them. In this casual\, multiplayer format\, you choose a legendary creature or artifact to serve as your commander and build the rest of your deck around their color identity and unique abilities. Players are only allowed one of each card in their deck\, with the exception of basic lands\, but they can use cards from throughout Magic‘s history. \nColor Identity\nA card’s color identity can come from any part of that card\, including its casting cost and any mana symbols in its text. Every card in your Commander deck must only use mana symbols that also appear on your commander. Colorless cards are allowed as well. \nCommand Zone\nThis is where your commander resides during the game when they are not in play. At the start of the game\, each player puts their commander face up into the command zone. A commander can be cast from the command zone for its normal costs\, plus an additional two mana for each previous time it’s been cast from the command zone this game. If your commander would be put into your library\, hand\, graveyard or exile from anywhere\, you may return it to your command zone instead. \nCommander Damage\nA player that’s been dealt 21 or more combat damage by the same commander over the course of the game loses the game. So don’t wait\, grab a deck and be the very best (like no one ever was) to start your Pokémon adventure today! \nThis event welcomes players of all ages and skill levels. \n____________________________________________ \n \nWith Standard format rotating soon\, a reminder:\nFor in-person Play! \n\nCards with the “G” regulation mark will no longer be legal for play in the 2026 Standard format. Cards with “H\,” “I\,” and “J” regulation marks will be legal to use (as will any future regulation marks that may be released). A card’s legality status is not based on which expansion it’s from. Even if a card is from a recently released expansion\, players will need to refer to the regulation mark on the bottom of the card to see whether that card is legal for play.
