SUMMARY:Magic Presents: Open the Archive Pick-2 Draft at Gnome Games Appleton North!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Open the Archive draft event! Channel the ultimate power of the Mystical Archive! \nEntry: $25\nTuesday\, May 26th at 5pm \nMagic Presents: Open the Archive invites you to a pick-2 of draft Secrets of Strixhaven… with a twist! Mystical Archive cards can be played in any deck\, regardless of color\, opening new strategies and letting you fully enjoy every Mystical Archive card they draft! \n \nHow to draft: \nEach player will start with three booster packs. In Pick-Two Draft\, players always select two cards from each booster pack and then pass that booster pack to the next player. For the first booster pack\, players pass the cards to their left. Once all players have selected all the cards from the first pack\, they’ll open a second pack\, continue selecting two cards at a time\, and pass the pack to their right. After all those cards are drafted\, players do the same with the third pack\, passing to the left again. At the end\, each player will have about 42 cards\, which they can use to build a 40-card deck\, adding in any basic lands they need. \nPlayers should play one-on-one games after the draft. In a four player Pick-Two Draft\, players should play two rounds\, with the winning players from the first round pairing up\, and the other two players also pairing up. \nSpecial drafting rule: With each player’s first pick from each pack\, they also take the Mystical Archive card from that pack. \nPlayers who finish the event with a winning record (having more wins than losses) receive a blind-pack challenge coin featuring one of five Mystical Archive art designs. Collecting the coins gives players an incentive to return and play again week after week! \nReceive a Ral Zarek avatar in MTG Arena by participating in our Open the Archive event! To receive the avatar\, you must register for the event using the same Wizards Account you use to log into MTG Arena. The card-pool includes arena-cards (weapons\, equipment\, etc.)\, and deck-cards that will start in the player’s deck. \nA card can only be included in a Player’s card-pool if the card’s class/talents are a subset of the hero’s class/talents (e.g. a Light talent card can only be included in a card-pool if the hero has a Light talent). Generic cards can be included in any card-pool. \nA card-pool may contain up to 3 copies of each unique card. A card is unique if it has a different name AND pitch value from another card. (e.g. Sink Below (red) is unique compared to Sink Below (blue) because they have different pitch values) \nThese rules are subject to the effects of the hero or cards in the card-pool\, which may allow or limit what cards can be included. (e.g. Heroes with “Essence” allow certain talented cards to be included\, even if the hero doesn’t have the same talent. If you haven’t received one by the end of the event\, you get one just for participating! \nWeekly tournaments are a great way to hang out\, test out new decks\, chat about Yu-Gi-Oh!\, and more! Our entry fee is $5. Don’t have a deck? Check out our structure decks for sale in store! They offer great ways to pick up and learn the game\, while highlighting iconic archetypes and characters from the franchise. \nPlayers may apply for events ahead of time using the new NEURON app! The NEURON app is for entry\, results submission\, pairings\, deck lists and more! \nWhat is Yu-Gi-Oh?\nIn Yu-Gi-Oh!\, two players Duel each other using a variety of Monster\, Spell\, and Trap Cards to defeat their opponent’s monsters and be the first to drop the other’s Life Points to 0. Players draw cards from their respective decks and take turns playing cards onto “the field”. Each player uses a deck containing forty to sixty cards\, and an optional “extra deck” of up to fifteen cards. So don’t wait\, grab a deck and be the very best (like no one ever was) to start your Pokémon adventure today! \nThis event welcomes players of all ages and skill levels. \nCheck out our other Pokémon events here: Pokémon Events at Gnome Games Appleton North \nWith Standard format rotating soon\, a reminder:\nFor in-person Play! Pokémon events\, the Standard format rotation for 2026 competitive play will go into effect on April 10\, 2026. \n\nCards with the “G” regulation mark will no longer be legal for play in the 2026 Standard format. Cards with “H\,” “I\,” and “J” regulation marks will be legal to use (as will any future regulation marks that may be released). A card’s legality status is not based on which expansion it’s from. Even if a card is from a recently released expansion\, players will need to refer to the regulation mark on the bottom of the card to see whether that card is legal for play. New cards still must follow the appropriate waiting period to become tournament legal\, which is typically two weeks after their release.

DESCRIPTION:The Gnomes invite Neopetians to the Gnome Games Green Bay West Battledome each Thursday this summer at Noon!  \n$8 tournament\, where we’ll play 3 rounds; with each round having players win-a-pack\, when they win-a-match! \nBan/Restricted List Goes into Effect Starting February 10th\, 2026.  \nWe will be following the banned/restricted list as listed here!   \nDeck Construction: \nYou need a 50-card deck made up of a combination of Codestones\, Equipment\, Food\, Faeries\, Heroes\, Legends\, Map Pieces\, Paint Brushes\, Petpets\, Potions\, and Villains. Decks can contain no more than 2 copies of any Equipment\, Food\, Legends\, Paint Brushes\, and Potions. They may contain no more than 1 copy of any Faerie\, Hero\, Petpet\, unique Map Piece\, or Villain and may contain any number of Codestones. You can have a Neopet Deck of at least 3 and up to 5 Neopets of different species (all 5 must have a different name)\, and a Rainbow Pool with up to 10 unique Rainbow Pool Neopets. Additional cards may have unique rules text having them start in your Rainbow Pool. These cards do not count towards the 10 Rainbow Pool Neopet limit.
