SUMMARY:Magic Presents: Open the Archive Pick-2 Draft at Gnome Games Appleton North!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Open the Archive draft event! Channel the ultimate power of the Mystical Archive! \nEntry: $25\nTuesday\, May 26th at 5pm \nMagic Presents: Open the Archive invites you to a pick-2 of draft Secrets of Strixhaven… with a twist! Mystical Archive cards can be played in any deck\, regardless of color\, opening new strategies and letting you fully enjoy every Mystical Archive card they draft! \n \nHow to draft: \nEach player will start with three booster packs. In Pick-Two Draft\, players always select two cards from each booster pack and then pass that booster pack to the next player. For the first booster pack\, players pass the cards to their left. Once all players have selected all the cards from the first pack\, they’ll open a second pack\, continue selecting two cards at a time\, and pass the pack to their right. After all those cards are drafted\, players do the same with the third pack\, passing to the left again. At the end\, each player will have about 42 cards\, which they can use to build a 40-card deck\, adding in any basic lands they need. \nPlayers should play one-on-one games after the draft. In a four player Pick-Two Draft\, players should play two rounds\, with the winning players from the first round pairing up\, and the other two players also pairing up. \nSpecial drafting rule: With each player’s first pick from each pack\, they also take the Mystical Archive card from that pack. \nPlayers who finish the event with a winning record (having more wins than losses) receive a blind-pack challenge coin featuring one of five Mystical Archive art designs. Collecting the coins gives players an incentive to return and play again week after week! \nReceive a Ral Zarek avatar in MTG Arena by participating in our Open the Archive event! To receive the avatar\, you must register for the event using the same Wizards Account you use to log into MTG Arena. These exclusive\, competitive level events offer packs\, exclusive prizing\, and a Round 1 bye at the Regional Qualifiers to the winner! Rounds depend on attendance\, and at most are 5 Rounds with a Top 8 Top Cut. Our rounds are 60 minutes\, best of 3. \nEach round won awards players with an Unleashed pack! Top Cut is also timed\, with play speed and overtime kept in mind. Top Cut single elimination playoffs are 60 minutes\, best of 3. Each player that participates receives a participation promo card\, the top 8 receive a promo card\, and the grand Winner gets a Champion playmat! Keep an eye out for updates on the specific promos. \nAt high OPL\, during playoff matches that occur following the end of Swiss rounds\, the higher ranked player from the Swiss rounds is automatically the designated player for the first game of each match. \nEntry is $15. Players must register ahead of time on the Riftbound event locator. To sign up\, players must have a carde.io account and a linked Riot account. \nWhat is Riftbound?\nRiftbound is a collectable trading card game featuring a vast array of characters and locales from League of Legends. Choose a Legend and Chosen Champion card for your deck and battle it out between 2 to 4 players in various game modes! The most important card in your deck is your champion legend. This is the card you build your deck around—it determines your options for the chosen champion who starts faceup on the board and who you’ll send to fight for you\, and it defines the domains (colors) of your deck’s cards. \nYour legend and your chosen champion define your strategy. Maybe your plan is quick strikes\, maybe it’s to build up an unstoppable huge army\, or maybe it’s to use one incredibly powerful and mobile fighter. When time is reached before a winner is determined\, if players are in-between games\, if a player has more game wins in the match they win the match. When time is reached before a winner is determined\, if players are in the middle of a game\, the player whose turn it is finishes their turn.\n408.4.c. After that player’s turn is complete\, three additional turns are played. At the conclusion of those additional turns:\n\n408.4.c.1. If a player has the most points in the current game\, they win that game. Then\, if a player has more game wins in the match\, they win the match. If the game score is tied\, proceed to 408.4.d.\n408.4.c.2. If the point score of the current game is tied\, but a player has the most game wins in the match\, that player wins the match.\n408.4.c.3. If the point score of the current game is tied and the game score of the match is tied\, players continue to play until the next point is scored. The player who scores that point wins the match. DESCRIPTION:Are you ready for the Chaos over at Gnome Games Green Bay East!?\nFriday\, June 5th at 5:30pm is our Chaos Draft at Gnome Games Green Bay East! \n\n$30 entry\n5:30pm Start Time\n\nThis special Magic the Gathering event is a Chaos Draft! We’ll have up to 2 pods of 8\, with each pod having 24 different packs to choose from. Each pack is put face-up for all of the players to see at the start of the draft. Players in each pod are put in a random order\, 1-8. The first player in each pod will pick from their 24 possible packs\, then the second\, etc. When it gets to the 8th (or last) player\, that player will pick their first pack\, then pick their second pack; with the order continuing 7 – 1. After the first player picks their second pack\, they’ll pick their third and it will go through the player order one last time 2-8. Until everyone has their 3 packs! \nPlayers then do a 3 pack draft with those packs that they’ve picked\, build 40 card minimum decks and then will play 3 rounds! Players can ignore the normal deck building color restrictions based on your leader and can include cards of any color in your deck.There are no banned or restricted cards\, and players can include as many copies of cards with the same card number as they like. Cards left over from deck construction are considered sideboard cards. \nAfter deck construction \, players will participate in a 3 round tournament.  Each round you win\, you win a pack of OP-16 as a prize! \nParticipation promos go out to every player during the first round\, and the winner gets a winner stamped card! \nPlayers must register for this event through Bandai TCG+ here. \n*Prices are subject to change
