DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for a Pokémon TCG League Cup!\nOn Saturday\, May 16th at 11 AM\, compete in one of our League Cups! Through attendance-based rounds\, find out who has the best deck and who plays it the best! Players are paired based on their age division\, but are grouped together if there are not enough players in any one age division. The winner in each age division receives an exclusive Champion playmat! \nRounds are 30 minutes\, best of one. Each round won awards players with a Prize Pack! Entry for each age division is: \nJuniors: $5 \nSeniors: $10 \nMasters: $15 \nWhat do I need to participate?\nPlayers must have a Pokémon Trainer Club ID to register for the event\, and a deck list to participate. We provide sheets for people to fill out. Please show up a bit early to allow time to fill them out\, or come in with a complete form. Cards must be part of the Pokémon Standard Format. \nWhat are Pokémon League Challenges and Cups?\nA League Challenge is a small entry-level event occurring monthly by eligible Play! Pokémon Stores. In Pokémon League Challenge tournaments\, competitors can earn Championship Points (CP) and work toward earning an invitation to the World Championships! Crack open a Build & Battle kit\, craft a deck\, and see how you do in a 3 round Swiss style tournament! All participants get 3 packs of Chaos Rising at the end for playing in the 3 rounds! Pokémon ID. Don’t have one? We can help set you up with one in-store! Registration can be completed at your convenience. You can also register on pokemon.com! \nOur events are on: \n-May 9th @11am\n-May 14th @5:30pm\n-May 16th @11am \nWhat is Prerelease?\nA prerelease is a type of event that gives players the chance to get product early. In the case of Pokémon\, people can participate in events before the set comes out. Each person receives a Build & Battle kit\, which consists of a random 40 card deck and 4 packs of the set. Then they battle it out in 3 rounds of a Swiss style Tournament and receive extra packs at the end for participating! Players get to keep all of the cards that they get from prereleases. \nThe Prerelease format allows players to compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play. This is different from the usual 60-card deck with six Prize cards.
