Open a Build & Battle kit\, upgrade the deck inside\, and participate in a 3 round Swiss style tournament! These kits contain one of four decks. Test your luck and get Crobat\, Goodra\, Delphox\, or Ampharos and dominate the competition! Each kit comes with four packs to upgrade your deck. Each round is 30 minutes\, best of 1. Players get 3 packs at the end of the tournament just for participating! \nOur events are: \nSaturday May 9th at 2 PM \nTuesday May 12th at 5:30 PM \nThursday May 14th at 5:30 PM \nSunday May 17th at 2 PM \nEach deck is set up for instant play and contains one of four unique foil promo cards based on the deck you get! Prereleases are a great way to pick up and play Pokémon in a more casual environment and learn how to build decks. \nEntry is $40. Players must have a Pokémon ID to participate. Don’t have one? You can also register on pokemon.com! \nOur events are on: \n-May 9th @11am\n-May 14th @5:30pm\n-May 16th @11am \nWhat is Prerelease?\nA prerelease is a type of event that gives players the chance to get product early. In the case of Pokémon\, people can participate in events before the set comes out. Each person receives a Build & Battle kit\, which consists of a random 40 card deck and 4 packs of the set. Then they battle it out in 3 rounds of a Swiss style Tournament and receive extra packs at the end for participating! Players get to keep all of the cards that they get from prereleases. \nThe Prerelease format allows players to compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play. This is different from the usual 60-card deck with six Prize cards.
