You can also register on pokemon.com! \nOur events are on: \n-May 9th @11am\n-May 14th @5:30pm\n-May 16th @11am \nWhat is Prerelease?\nA prerelease is a type of event that gives players the chance to get product early. In the case of Pokémon\, people can participate in events before the set comes out. Each person receives a Build & Battle kit\, which consists of a random 40 card deck and 4 packs of the set. Then they battle it out in 3 rounds of a Swiss style Tournament and receive extra packs at the end for participating! Players get to keep all of the cards that they get from prereleases. \nThe Prerelease format allows players to compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play. This is different from the usual 60-card deck with six Prize cards. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gnome Games Appleton East for our May Pokémon League Challenge!\nIt’s the time of the month where we do our competitive level Pokémon TCG League Challenge! On May 9th at 12 PM\, we’re taking off in a 3 round Swiss style tournament! Each match won awards you with Prize Packs\, so the better you do\, the more Championship Points you get\, the more likely you are to get an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships. Additionally each round\, a Prize Pack goes out to a random player! \nEach round is 30 minutes\, best of one. Entry for Juniors and Seniors is $5\, and entry for Masters is $10. Players must have a Pokémon ID to enter into the tournament. Don’t have one? We can help you sign up! We have sheets available in-store\, and the rest of the registration process can be done at home. \nWhat is a Pokémon League Challenge?\nPokémon League Challenges are competitive level tournaments at the Local Store level. These events are entry-level competitions\, great for competitors of all experience levels! League Challenges specifically grant Championship Points toward earning an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships. League Challenge events are typically held once per month at select Pokémon League locations. These events use the Standard format\, and require decks to be Tournament legal. \nAt higher levels are Pokémon League Cups. Typically held quarterly\, League Cup event competitors can expect a step up\, with tougher competitors vying for greater rewards.
